About Mrs. Nunez

About Me

I graduated in December 2012 with a B.S. in Adolescent Education and a B.A. in English from SUNY Oswego in Oswego, NY. I am currently in a graduate program at SNHU for Curriculum and Instruction.I graduated with my Master's degree in April of 2015.

I am originally from the Bronx but moved to  King George from the Syracuse area in 2013 to join the amazing KGMS staff.

I have three children (one at KGHS, one at KGMS and one at KGES!)  During my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, photography, working on my novel and cooking. I enjoy video games as well.  I also teach English to Chinese students online through VIPKID.

What can I say? I love teaching!

I am an avid sci-fi and fantasy fan. My favorites include many super heroes, Doctor Who, Star Wars and Star Trek. I love reading!  I read four books a week if time permits. Come check out my classroom library.

A little cheat sheet for pronouncing my name: Ms. Noon-Yez

Welcome to TAG English 2019-2020!

Welcome to my TAG English 8 class! I look forward to an excellent year filled with lots of reading, writing and growing! Be sure to check the KGMS page for supply lists. Supplies are the same across all 8th grade English classes. Students will need a notebook (spiral preferred, but marbled is fine), pencils, loose leaf, a folder and daily reading materials for self selected reading.  TAG students will be provided with all the required novels. I look forward to meeting you on August 12th!
